Precision Farming

The agricultural use cases employ drones and machine learning to provide farmers with timely insights on the state of their livestock or crops.

The crop monitoring service will initially involve training algorithms (Kingston University) to distinguish between crops and weeds, based on the images captured by drone-mounted cameras (Precision Decisions). With this information, a report will be created for the farmer in real or near real time, to allow them to accurately and efficiently treat the crops. A more efficient use of herbicides and pesticides will save on money, time and environmental impact.
